Job title: Procurement Business Partner

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Duration: 6 months

The role:

You will define the sourcing strategies with the different internal stakeholders and ensure that the purchasing process is optimised. As an active member of an empowered, self-managed, multi-skilled procurement team, you will collaborate across the business including with Global Procurement and other Local Affiliates. Together, you will seek to maximise synergies and optimise supplier management. You will be required to work collaboratively and share expertise across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • You propose and develop procurement strategies that will help achieve the company objectives.
  • Guiding the business as a Procurement Partner by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights.
  • You will be required to develop and implement local supplier relationship management strategies in order to continuously improve the local key suppliers' performance in close collaboration with the key stakeholders.
  • You will lead sourcing projects through sourcing methodologies in order to continuously improve total cost, service and quality for indirect materials.
  • You will be required to ensure the adherence to the global and local procurement practices.
  • Monitoring the procurement processes and tools will be part of your activities including driving improvement and user engagement in the local Procure to pay processes e.g myBuy, Fieldglass or any future systems.
  • Understand the needs of the business and different stakeholders to be able to prioritise the efforts where the biggest impact from a procurement partner would be created and in service of the business priorities.

Requirements:

  • Well-structured and have a high sense of detail.
  • Analytical mindset which enables you to conceptualise and propose solutions based on the outcome of analyses.
  • Results and solution oriented.
  • Experience within similar roles in procurement, CIPs qualified preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in Marketing and Medical procurement would be advantageous.
  • You appreciate working in a performance-oriented environment that is based on mutual respect, discussion and cooperation.
  • Commercial negotiation skills with experience in contract negotiation.
