Our Client:

Our client is a leading supplier of complex machined components for aerospace OEM and Tier 1customers around the world. They are a specialist manufacturer of high-complexity components for aero-engine, power generation and air-frame applications. Our client has extensive machining capabilities supported by a highly experienced engineering team and special processes, allowing the company to take on the toughest aerospace engineering challenges.

Your Role:

To work across a number of manual and special processes. Supporting where the workload requires, including processes such as assembling, deburring, part marking, part degreasing and testing.

Key Skills

  • Assembling aerospace components, fasteners, inserts.
  • Deburring, sanding and finishing operations for machined components.
  • Pressure Testing: Pneumatic and Hydraulic.
  • Part Marking: Dot Peen, Chem-Etching, Ink Jetting, Vibro.
  • Ultra Sonic cleaning and degreasing.
  • Tapping threaded holes.
  • Support the loading and unloading of heat treatment furnaces.
  • Appropriate training and shadowing work will be completed to ensure processes are understood and explained. An initiative and drive to learn skills are essential for someone to do well in this role.
  • You may be required to work alternative shifts / hours
  • You may be required to perform any other reasonable duties/specific projects from time to time and as directed by management
  • Knowledge of abrasive wheels
  • Knowledge of deburring media
  • Knowledge of deburring and sharp edge requirements
  • Knowledge of deburring tools and instruments
  • Basic understanding of Drawings
  • Basic assembly knowledge
  • Knowledge of set up and process of part marking techniques
  • 6S knowledge
  • Aerospace experience an advantage.
