Job Elements

  • Monitoring day to day operations of a continually functioning recycling plant and reporting/monitoring concerns.
  • Point of contact and support for five shift teams, escalating as required to Line Manager and/or HR Team.
  • Ensuring sufficient consumables are available and responsible for replenishments.
  • Ensuring chemical deliveries are scheduled in line with production schedules.
  • Ensuring safe working methods (SWMs) are current and adhered to.
  • Accountable for accuracy of training records data and refresher training is up to date.
  • Ensuring any faults/hazards are logged and resolved/responded to in a sufficient timeframe.
  • Responsible for conducting return to work interviews.
  • Responsible for review of process data and identifying opportunities and abnormalities.
  • Responsible for actively develop and promote EHS and housekeeping standards.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Mechanical engineering background essential.
  • Experience of managing production plant
  • Experience within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemical.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • IT - experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Awareness of process automation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
