Hours of work - Mon & Tues - 8.00 am - 4.30 pm, Weds & Thurs - 8.00 am - 5.00 pm, Fri - 8.00 am - 2.30 pm
Reporting to the Maintenance & Site Services Coordinator, the Process & Maintenance Technician will provide a knowledgeable, practical mechanical and electrical service in order to assist in the maintenance of all manufacturing plant, buildings / infrastructure, and site services in a safe and cost-effective manner. Will assist in process monitoring of critical plant, to improve equipment and process reliability through effective prediction and then avoidance of equipment failures.
Qualifications, skills, knowledge & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical/electrical engineering.
* Minimum ONC/Level 3 NVQ in Engineering
* Strong electrical knowledge/fault finding skills; qualification desirable.
* Experience of repairing and maintaining motors, instruments, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and filling lines etc.
* Experience and understanding of PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), including designing, implementing, testing, documenting, and fault finding.
* Broad knowledge of pneumatic, air logic and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documents and drawings.
* Minimum 3 years' experience of working in manufacturing environments.
* Experience of working in Zoned Areas, and knowledge of ATEX Equipment preferable.
* IOSH trained in Working Safely preferable, Mobile boom, and scissor lift trained preferable.
* Knowledge of working with Permit to Work, and Safe Systems of Work.
* Sound analysis and decision-making skill with a flexible attitude and ability to communicate effectively
