Responsibilities for the role of the Process & Maintenance Engineer.

  • Observe company values and policies on the conduct expectations and treatment of others.
  • Actively display a sound knowledge of PLC systems and an understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems in line with current legislations - HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAHR and Electricity at Work Act.
  • Maintain and use preventative fault finding and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work to a high level of skill and workmanship at all times.
  • Fault find and fix any equipment as required whilst maintaining a focus and reporting daily for audit.
  • Ensure all equipment under remit is of sound and safe working order at all times.
  • Continually review production processes and equipment.
  • Execute planned and preventative maintenance programmes on time and within budget.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programmes.
  • Monitor performance on all equipment against set KPIs.
  • Ensure conformance to H&S at all times.
  • Participate as a member of the Engineering team providing input to continuous improvement to make an effective contribution to the overall running of the business

Specifications required for the role of Process & Maintenance Engineer

  • Must have 17th Edition or equivalent
  • A minimum of HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical-biased engineering discipline or completed an engineering apprenticeship
  • Previous experience working within a food processing environment would also be beneficial
  • Must have a solid foundation with 2-phase motor fault finding, and safety relay fault finding.
  • A solid understanding of H&S at work is essential for this role
  • An understanding of basic chains, drives, conveyors & pumps is required
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
