Elevation Recruitment Group have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Process Engineer to join a fast growing medical component manufacturer based in Sheffield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a Material Science, Metallurgy or Process Engineering background and ideally in casting and forging, to join an established team, that is looking to increase headcount due to increase business demand.

The process engineer will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to their assigned process (es) in terms of yield, quality, productivity, environmental impact, cost and safety
  • Manage process improvement trials
  • Work collaboratively with the operations and quality department
  • Incorporate lean methodologies and six sigma into sale activities
  • Assess daily scrap review inline with scrap KPI's
  • Use root cause techniques in order to provide long term improvements and outcomes

To be considered for the Process Engineer role you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent in Material Science or Engineering
  • At least 2 to 3 years' experience within a hot metals environment, in a metallurgical or process engineering background
  • Knowledge of casting and/or forging processes
  • Excellent attitude and passion to further grow and develop
  • Ability to think outside the box and improve processes in a cost effective manner
