Private Equity Associate - Direct Lending Fund

This fund is very specifically looking to hire from either a Leading Strategy Consultancy (either PE Due Diligence or corporate strategy focus), Investment Banking (specifically M&A with an interest in credit / debt) or the Big 4 (Transaction Services / Due Diligence focus)

This fund has an exemplary track record in the Direct Lending space. Being an early entrant into the market they are currently deploying their 4th fund having fully deployed fund 3 ($1.4bn). The fund invests across the capital structuring (including mezzanine) and supports PE lead buyouts as well as company lead financing / refinancing.

The fund in question take a very different approach to investing with a lot of analysis into the company, their business model, the position within the market amongst many other factors. Each investment goes through rigorous analysis and as a result the fund are looking to hire from backgrounds which would also employ similar deep analysis methods aligned with the backgrounds outlined above.

Whilst the background of the candidate is important the mindset of the individual is of equal importance. Given the rigour employed with all investments the successful candidate must enjoy intellectually stimulating work and must enjoy interrogating key information with a desire to make their own decisions on whether an investment is viable. Regardless of level team members must be comfortable in putting their own recommendations forward and be comfortable challenging those around them.
