Private Client Tax Manager

AJ Chambers are currently working with a well-established accountancy firm in search for a Private Client Tax Manager to join them in their central London office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a liberal and progressive firm, and offers excellent opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Advising on trust set up and IHT planning, as well as tax schemes entered into by personal tax clients, and advise on UK property purchase structure for HNWI.
  • Promoting services offered by the firm in relation to HMRC enquiries and investigations into the affairs of personal and trust clients across the firm.
  • Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNWI’s, non-domiciled individuals, UK trusts and company directors.
  • Producing and implementing new regulations and procedure, in accordance with the current policies and principles in place.
  • Attend meetings with clients and HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Managing and coaching a small team of tax professionals within the London office.
  • Maintain own levels of CPD, keeping abreast of relevant technical developments in compliance with guidelines and to meet the Firm’s needs.

The ideal candidate:

  • CTA or ACA qualified, with a strong level of existing knowledge and understanding of personal and trust tax
  • Previous experience of working at a senior level incorporating a minimum of 5 years relevant management experience in an accountancy practice, or a specialist field
  • Must also provide experience of working on long term client relationships in addition to working on a fee basis with clients
  • Working and up to date knowledge of relevant software products and MS Office products
  • You must also have a great understanding of the extent of the firms services and external environment in order to contribute and bring value to the business
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to be creative when faced with difficulties and problems that may arise, and have the independence to implementappropriate solutions.
