Private Client Role - Solicitor / CILEX Qualified / Senior Paralegal

My client, a reputable legal firm located in Crosby, Liverpool, is currently seeking a qualified Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to cover a 12-month maternity leave, with the potential for the role to evolve into a permanent position. This individual will be a key contributor to the Private Client department, demonstrating expertise in areas such as:
  • Court of Protection
  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Probate
  • Elderly client matters

Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in independently managing a caseload, emphasizing both accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-confident approach to work, allowing for productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships at all levels.
  • Collaborative team-player mindset with enthusiasm for networking and business development.

In terms of responsibilities, the chosen candidate will be expected to:
  • Undertake fee-earning tasks to a high standard, managing a full caseload within a busy office under supervision.
  • Actively participate in the development and marketing of the firm in alignment with business and departmental plans.
  • Provide a profitable contribution and add value to the work of the department.

Key Duties:

Progress instructions following established procedures and the firm's risk management processes. This includes:
  • Contributing to marketing activities and maintaining professional relationships with referrers and clients.
  • Maintaining financial controls for matters under supervision in collaboration with the Head of Department.
  • Actively participating within the team, taking responsibility for delegated work.
  • Attending relevant formal and informal training sessions.
In terms of remuneration and benefits, my client offers:
  • Competitive salary (£30k) depending on qualifications and experience.

  • 25 days of annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus Bank Holidays.
