Working in a unique environment such as a prison, you’ll deliver compassionate care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds who are vulnerable and have complex health needs. Your role often varies, allowing you to pick up additional skills and develop your knowledge.

Registered Nurse (RGN) responsibilities:
- Knowledge of clinical governance audit, risk management and quality agenda
- Carrying out assessments and blood tests
- Observing patients’ condition and recording information
- Administering medications
- Confidence in clinical practice e.g., phlebotomy, ECG monitoring and managing minor injuries

What Nurseplus requires from a Registered Nurse?
- Current and unrestricted NMC Registration
- Clearance to work within a Prison setting
- Experience of working within a Health & Justice environment
- Experience of health needs assessment / triage
- Previous experience working in a complex environment managing deteriorating patient
- 6 months UK based paid experience within the last two years
- Previous experience working in a complex managing deteriorating patients
- A strong knowledge of current healthcare issues
