Print Finisher

We are working with one of the fastest – growing Printing Companies in Essex and are looking for experienced  Print Finishers  to join their very friendly, hardworking team here in Southend on Sea, Essex.

The role

Your main responsibilities will include the preparation, maintenance and operation of the above equipment, ensuring all work is completed to deadlines and is of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Using various Finishing machines: Guillotine, Folding, Creasing and perforating etc. in order to complete jobs (depending on machine experience)
  • Running “test sheets” to ensure final product is in line with customer requirements
  • Reporting ordering or printing issues to shift managers
  • Ensuring both quality and speed of work is maintained throughout
  • Ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner in order to meet the despatch deadline
  • Maintaining machines to a high standard ensuring minimum downtime
  • Assisting with machine fixes and new parts as an when required
  • Keeping machines and operating areas clean and tidy throughout the day
  • First aid and Fire Marshall training/duties if required
  • Any other duties deemed within your skillset

Experience/Skills Required

  • Experience using one or more of the following machines: Guillotine, Muller, MBO Folder, Stitcher, Cylinder
  • Experience in the print is essential
  • Strong work ethic
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent eye for detail

We are looking for candidates to work on the 2pm-10pm shift.
