Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Principal Software Engineer Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Software Team's activities.
  • Mentor and support team members.
  • Supervise Front End and Back End software development.
  • Collaborate with leadership on software-related aspects.
  • Spearhead Research and Development projects.
  • Ensure solutions leverage the latest technologies.
  • Conduct product and solution quality assurance assessments.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Utilize conflict resolution techniques.
  • Acknowledge and appreciate team members' contributions.

Principal Software Engineer Requirements (Essential):

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum eight years of coding experience (C++, C#, Python preferred).
  • Minimum four years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Eligable for UK Secrurity Clearance.
  • Ability to work both on-site and remotely.

Principal Software Engineer Requirements (Desirable):

  • Familiarity with ISR sensors like radar and cameras.
  • Knowledge of Simulation in Defence.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and positive demeanor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year + Bonus
