Principal Embedded Software Engineer

My client is a Market Leader in pushing the boundaries of science to deliver innovative products that are intrinsic to everyday life, and due to expansion, they are looking for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D team in Worthing You will take responsibility for the design, implementation, testing, documentation, and support of the DSP/FPGA real-time servo control system.

As the Principal Embedded Software Engineer based in Worthing, you will be responsible for the following:

• As a member of the core R&D team you will be responsible for the real-time state machine architecture which defines the control loop & digital interfaces for our range of active magnetic bearing controllers
• Creation and optimisation of high quality FPGA/DSP code which are well documented
• Conducting extensive testing of embedded systems to maximise reliability and safety

To be a successful applicant for the Principal Embedded Software Engineer job based in Worthing, your skills/experience will involve the following:

• Successful delivery of embedded bare-metal DSP projects using TI devices
• Hands on experience delivering embedded real-time software for industrial control and instrumentation, motor control or power electronic control
• Recent industrial programming experience using C or C++
• Hands on experience integrating embedded software and electronics using component data sheets, circuit diagrams, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes and other test equipment
