PRINCIPAL DATA ENGINEER
LONDON, CURRENTLY FLEXIBLE / REMOTE / HOME WORKING
UP TO £120,000 + BENEFITS + BONUS

Harnham is partnered with a private equity firm that focuses on acquiring SaaS-based businesses. Their mission is to drive their data strategies to help add value. They need a Principal Data Engineer to lead this function, working with Data Scientists.

THE COMPANY:

This company are working with some successful Portco's and always looking to expand their presence within the market to continue helping smaller businesses. The aim is to utilise the knowledge they have across Data and Analytics to help drive the performance of these smaller firms. They have team's setup across, Software, Data Science and DevOps. They are still looking for a Data Engineer to lead the function and help productionise Data products.

THE ROLE:

  • Remaining hands-on with the implementation of new data platforms
  • Involved in scoping out new companies, helping to impact business decisions based on their data capabilities
  • Managing new projects, designing architectures, and helping to build data science models
  • Mentoring the engineers, making sure they are using the right engineering practices and writing quality code

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Built scalable cloud-based platforms
  • Worked closely with senior stakeholders and made business decisions on the back of a company's data potential
  • Deployed complex data products
  • Used Spark for data processing and scaling models
