A northern home counties council are looking to add a Principal Accountant to their dynamic and high-performing finance team.

The Principal Accountant role presents an exciting opportunity to join the finance department and help provide outstanding financial advice and support across Adults Social Care and Public Health. The role will be an integral part of the finance management team, providing high quality financial insight to enable efficient delivery of services across the Council.

You will be responsible with building last relationships with all partner organisations in relation to health integration and financial queries around pooled budgets. Supporting the Finance Manager in integrating Social Care and NHS, especially in relation to Integrated Care Partnerships.

To be suitable for the role you need to be a qualified accountant or an experienced finalist with previous experience of providing a business partnering service to stakeholders, ideally within a Social Care or Health setting. The ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholder is essential, as is experience of influencing and challenging stakeholders.
