Year 7 Class Teacher - class ability Year 6
  • Location: Hassocks, West Sussex
  • Job Type: Full-time, Long-term supply
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Year 7 SEN Class Teacher (with knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum) to join our dedicated team at a school renowned for supporting students with special educational needs. This role is perfect for a professional with experience in adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of children with a range of disabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and lead Year 7 curriculum lessons tailored to the diverse abilities of students.
  • Assess student progress and adapt lessons to support their physical and social-emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage with students to foster a love for learning and healthy living.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with SEN children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or related fields.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
