Job Description
The duties and responsibilities in the job description are not restrictive and you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties from time to time. Any duties should not substantially change the general character of the post Primary Teaching Assistant:
• General classroom support- whole class, small group and 1-2-1 led activities.
• Reporting to class teacher, Head Teacher and SENCO
• Carry out assessments
• Report pupil progress
• Support behaviour policy of school
• Assist with planning activities
• Support with resourcing lessons
• Help develop and maintain the learning environment
Person Specification
• Must hold a clear, Enhanced DBS, to include Children’s Barred List, which is on the update service. (we can organise the application for this)
• Have a love for working with children and supporting their development.
• Have experience of working with children/young people
• Hold a Teaching Assistant Qualification –Ideally Level 3
• Be willing to undertake training and development
• Good level of general education including GCSE Maths and English.
