Teaching Assistant

  • Salary: £22,183 - £24,481 pro rata
  • Location: Plymouth Area

We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about education and sports. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to make a significant difference in the lives of young students and contribute to a dynamic learning environment.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Support the delivery of a diverse curriculum, ensuring students are engaged and making academic progress.
  • Utilise your passion for sports to inspire and motivate students in various athletic activities.
  • Plan and organise sporting events, contributing to a vibrant school sports culture.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance the educational experience of students.
  • Employ creativity and flexibility in supporting students, adapting to their individual needs.
  • Manage and prioritise tasks efficiently to maintain a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Participate fully in all aspects of school life, including classroom assistance and extracurricular activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Strong interest in sports and physical education.
  • Experience in supporting educational activities and curriculum delivery.
  • Excellent organisational and event planning skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the needs of students.
  • Good prioritisation and multitasking abilities.
  • This role is also suitable for candidates seeking a Sports or Teaching Assistant apprenticeship.
