Day to Day of the Role:- Lead and teach groups of primary aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that transforms challenging content into life-affirming experiences.
- Provide high support and high challenge to meet the educational and therapeutic needs of pupils.
- Work under the direction of the teacher in charge to support the educational development of pupils in a therapeutic way.
- Collaborate with school-based professionals to carry out programmes of work.
- Engage with opportunities to support pupils in a variety of activities, utilising state-of-the-art facilities at other sites.
- Primary trained teacher with the ability to adapt teaching methods.
- Strong understanding of the needs of learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Proven track record in working with pupils who have significant trauma and attachment issues.
- Excellent classroom practice, including the use of ICT.
- High expectations of pupil engagement and achievements.
- Training in trauma and attachment difficulties.
- Effective in working with pupils who display challenging behaviours.
- Enhanced and barred DBS for both Child and Adult.
- Registered with EWC.
