Position Overview: Join our dynamic team of educators at an Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Watford, dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing learning environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary School Teacher to inspire and empower young minds, ensuring every child reaches their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery:

    • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Utilize innovative teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote critical thinking skills.
    • Foster a love for learning through creative and stimulating educational experiences.
  2. Assessment and Progress Tracking:

    • Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and inform instructional practices.
  3. Classroom Management:

    • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
    • Set clear expectations for behaviour and maintain consistent discipline practices, promoting mutual respect and responsibility.
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs and English as an additional language.
  4. Parental Engagement:

    • Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and involvement in their child's education.
    • Provide updates on student progress, academic achievements, and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with families to support students learning and well-being both in and out of the classroom.
  5. Professional Development:

    • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay abreast of educational trends and best practices.
    • Contribute actively to staff meetings, team planning sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
    • Reflect on teaching experiences and seek feedback from colleagues to continually refine instructional approaches.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective pedagogical strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and dedication to the holistic development of each student.
