Year 2 Primary School teacher - Maternity Cover (1-Year Contract)

Start Date: Easter Term, 2024

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

A vibrant and inclusive primary school are seeking a Year 2 Primary Teacher as part of a maternity cover position. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, fostering a love for learning, and supporting the overall well-being of the school’s students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of primary students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and collaboration.
  • Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student development and achievement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and pedagogical approaches.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community
  • Valid DBS clearance and other statutory requirements for working with children.
