Primary Teacher - Y1/2 - 2 year contract

We are seeking a dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join a supportive and thriving school in Ormskirk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a passion for education to contribute to the development of young minds on a two-year contract starting in September 2024. Candidates with significant experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a strong interest in Maths will be highly regarded.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
- Foster a love for learning, with a particular emphasis on Maths, ensuring that lessons are fun and effective.
- Assess and record pupils’ progress, preparing them for the transition to the next year group.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their children’s learning and progress.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the school community.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Year 1/2 or similar age groups.
- Significant experience in SEND is highly desirable.
- A strong interest and proficiency in teaching Maths.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
