Your New Role:

  • Salary: Earn between £22,183 - £24,481 pro rata, dependent on experience (DOE).
  • Location: Join a supportive primary school in the scenic area of Torbay.
  • Class Structure: Work in small, inclusive classes catering to children with autism and a range of complex SEND, from Reception to Year 6.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster Positive Interactions: Engage with children aged 4-11 years, each with their unique SEND, promoting positive interactions.
  2. Support Educational Development: Contribute to play-based learning activities that enhance educational development.
  3. Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with the class teacher and fellow Teaching Assistants as part of a cohesive team.
  4. Outdoor Engagement: Enjoy outdoor activities while interacting with children.
  5. Tailored Support: Provide personalized support, both 1:1 and in small groups, to help children achieve individual learning goals.
  6. Address Complex Needs: Be prepared to address complex needs, including SEND and SEMH.
