Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team at our South Bristol location. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Adapt and modify learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Collaborate with other members of the school staff, including teachers, therapists, and support workers, to ensure the holistic development of students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
