Primary School Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about shaping young minds and making a positive impact on children's education? Tradewind is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Primary School in Oldham, working specifically in Key Stage 1.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a General Teaching Assistant in KS1, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of young students. Your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Assistance: Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Individual Support: Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis, addressing their specific learning needs.
Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organising learning materials, ensuring a conducive and interactive learning environment.
Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom, implementing behavior management strategies when necessary.
Assessment Support: Contribute to the assessment and feedback process, providing valuable insights into students' progress.
Collaboration: Work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to create a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting is essential.
Compassionate Personality: We are looking for candidates who exhibit empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young learners.
Qualifications: Relevant educational qualifications and certifications are desirable.
