Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our primary schools in north Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to the school's staff and students. If you have experience supporting teachers in a classroom setting and a passion for education, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and planning classroom activities
  • Provide individual support to students as needed
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment
  • Grade assignments and provide feedback to students
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing lesson materials and maintaining classroom organization
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the teacher or school principal

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a teaching assistant or similar role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Familiarity with classroom management strategies
  • Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
