Job Title: Primary PPA Teacher (Year 4, Year 5, Year 6) - Monday and Wednesday

Location: South Nottingham

start date - April 2024

Position Type: Part-Time (0.4 FTE)

Job Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a good Primary Academy that is seeking a dedicated and versatile Primary PPA Teacher to join our team on Mondays and Wednesdays. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple year groups (Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6) and provide high-quality cover and support for classroom teachers during their non-contact time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of subjects to students in Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6.
  • Ensure continuity of learning by following the school's curriculum and lesson plans provided by class teachers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of all students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning sessions, and other school-related activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively across multiple year groups.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) is required.
