Exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to support Mid-Market B2B Retail Energy Team for this global Energy company for a 6 months contract with a view to transition to Permanent.

Location will be Milton Keynes, working every Wednesday in the office, 4 days remote.

Interest in/Understanding of retail energy, strong Excel, strong numerical/analytical ability
Must Have: Retail Energy Pricing experience, VBA, SQL, Power BI,
Qualification: BSc in numerical/business discipline preferred

The Role:
Assisting the Mid-Market Pricing Manager in implementing pricing and credit strategy to support our growth plans in the Mid-Market customer segment (customers with annual volume up to 10GWh).

-Responsible for the day-to-day production of tenders ensuring they are maintained efficiently and effectively.
-Assisting the Mid-Market Pricing Manager in prioritising the team workflow, to produce timely, accurate and competitive prices relating to structured energy products and services.
-Identifying improvements to pricing, quotation, and acceptance processes, proposing solutions and assisting with their delivery.
-Support Sales by managing the Business Pricing Inbox where sales requests for pricing are raised, ensuring all service levels (SLAs) are met, with queries dealt with efficiently, accurately, and effectively.
-Maintain and update the requisite process documentation and training this out to the wider B2B Pricing team as required.
-Implementing the Commercial Credit Policy, using third party reports to determine the appropriate level of credit mitigation for contract requests.
-Validating both outbound prices and incoming contracts to ensure they meet the needs of our customers whilst also delivering the expected value to our P&L.
-To build an understanding our suite of products and their associated terms & conditions.

Experience and/or interest in the energy industry
-The ability to perform well under pressure and be comfortable managing conflicting priorities and the expectations of multiple stakeholders
-Highly analytical and numerate with excellent attention to detail Familiarity with VBA/SQL or similar programming / logic, or the desire to learn
-Ability to deal with uncertainty, finding novel solutions which still adhere to the overarching policies and DOAs of the commercial function
-Good communication skills, written and oral, for example ensuring sales agents are kept informed of any delays in turning around pricing requests, or outlining the rationale behind a decision not to approve credit for a customer

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
