School Premises Manager

  • Location: Northwest London, NW10
  • Working hours: Mon – Fri, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (flexible).
  • Salary Range: £37,443/annual (perm); £19,21/hour (temp).
  • Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm job.

We are seeking a dedicated Premises Manager to oversee our Premises Team, ensuring the upkeep, care, maintenance, health and safety, and facilities management of the academy. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide direction and leadership and stand in for the Estates Manager when necessary.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead and manage the Premises Team, including recruitment, performance management, and training.
  • Schedule, prioritise, and supervise the work of the premises staff to maximise efficiency and value for money.
  • Supervise work completed by external agencies, ensuring high standards and reporting any issues to the Estates Manager.
  • Build and refurbish areas of the academy as required, ensuring all facilities for teaching and learning are of high quality.
  • Regularly inspect the academy’s buildings, initiating repairs and prioritising necessary work.
  • Manage community use and bookings of the premises, providing caretaking and facilities management service to customers.
  • Ensure the academy’s compliance with health and safety standards and manage security systems and the security of the academy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements, with training in relevant areas.
  • Experience in plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, or heating systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in an educational establishment, managing budgets, and dealing with external contractors.
  • Strong supervisory skills and experience managing a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate is MUST.
