Room Leader

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our Client based in Coventry. They are looking to hire a Room Leader for their quality setting. This private day nursery offers Term-Time Only and the successful candidate will be a leader of the preschool team, providing an emotionally secure, warm, stimulating, and safe environment, appropriate to the needs of the individual children.

Main Responsibilities;

  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Cooperate and work effectively with the management and staff team to ensure that the setting’s philosophy is fulfilled.
  • Be vigilant and safeguard all children, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with the safeguarding children and Child protection policy.
  • Effectively deliver the EYFS through observation, assessment, and planning, ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children are met, in conjunction with other team members.
  • Maintain records of your key children’s development and learning, and share with parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the children, their families, or other staff, and understand that the public interest in Safeguarding Children overrides the public interest in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.

Essential Criteria needed:

  • Minimum of a relevant and recognised Early Years Level 3 qualification
  • Room Leader experience
  • Current Early Years experience
  • Strong organisational skills
