We are now recruiting an experienced PR Officer who will be responsible for supporting and delivering the public relations for Genesis UK - to include the continued development and enhancement of the Company’s brand visibility across the media landscape and the development of its Corporate Reputation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the Head of Section with media relations, media events and media activity for Genesis UK including briefing and working with agencies, managing consumer and media focused activations in alignment with business objectives
  • To represent the brand with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to build awareness, desire, credibility of Genesis in the UK
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all media-related enquiries and communications, providing guidance and support to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders
  • Drafting media materials, such as press releases, Q&As, statements and commentary for media and customer facing consumption
  • Managing media lists, ensuring accurate and relevant media contact details
  • Supporting the management of the press fleet of circa 35 cars along with the delivery partner to ensure best-in-class media interactions and experience
  • Working with Head of Section to establish awareness of development of Genesis retail proposition and retail partners, working with freelance support to deliver best practice and results
  • Planning and execution of specialist events in partnership with Head of Section to support the PR function, including coordinating car launches, product reveals, and media engagement opportunities, working closely with other teams to align event activities with brand messaging and objectives
  • Drive post-activity evaluation and analysis to assess the success, gather media feedback, and capture relevant data and insights to inform future strategies and enhancements
  • Manage the logistics and support the execution of major sponsorships, including overseeing the brand's presence at events such as the Genesis Scottish Open and Goodwood Festival of Speed, securing alignment with brand positioning and maximizing brand exposure and engagement opportunities
  • Manage budgets, including tracking and reconciliation of expenses, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomes and maximize return on investment
  • Remain abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in event management and experiential marketing, leveraging insights to continuously elevate the brand's event offerings and experiences.

Essential Skills:

  • Circa 3 years PR experience either in house or at agency level
  • Experience of managing multiple agencies ideal but not essential
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Creative thinker
  • Good team player
  • Flexible approach to working hours - with weekend working expected for activity delivery
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Confidence in dealing with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong organisational, event management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of planning and executing successful events, preferably within the automotive or luxury brand industry.
