Our client is a family run business, with an amazing product and a customer centric approach.  They have stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online, International and concessions business. They really care about people, customers, and the communities in which they trade and are now looking for a PR Manager.  The role will involve some business travel, and hybrid work, with up to six days per calendar month home working.

As PR Manager, you will bring transformation and the stories, showcasing the delivery of their strategy to life for both internal and external audiences. This will be achieved through the creation and management of compelling content for use across owned channels, partners and with earned and paid media. Working within a busy marketing team based in Amersham, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the PR and Content plan, supporting Partnerships and International teams.  The role will involve some business travel, and hybrid work, with up to six days per calendar month home working.

As PR Manager, you will possess an expert understanding of PR and charity partnerships and as the face of all PR and community projects you will be expected to communicate confidently at a senior level.

PR Manager – Responsibilities

- Development and execution of a broad, and varied content plan that supports the delivery of our client’s external corporate communications strategy.

- Craft messages and produce creative and coherent content to support the delivery of key communications campaigns to bring the Customer strategy to life for external audiences.

- Act as a quality control gatekeeper to ensure consistent, precise, and accurate messaging, tone of voice and look and feel in line with vision plan.

- Stakeholder management; influencing and networking across the business, building key relationships and acting as a content communications counsel and business partner.

- Oversee content delivery by the team across written, photo, film, and digital assets for both reactive and proactive activity.

- Work with agency partners and colleagues to elevate the impact and effectiveness of owned channels through stand out and engaging content across social media, retail, and web.

- Develop opportunities to enhance and improve existing communications channels and hand internal capability to create / enhance new storytelling formats.

- Using data and metrics to report and provide feedback/improvement recommendations

- Lead the charity campaign strategy for two UK brands

- Manage direct relationships with trade and consumer journalists, managing all media enquiries and interview requests.

PR Manager – Required Skills

- Ideally 5 years’ experience in a PR role, in retail or ecommerce.

- A track record in managing multiple projects with high level of attention to detail.

- Ideally you will have experience of managing a PR agency or come from an agency background.

- Expert understanding of PR and charity relationships, ideally within a retail and ecommerce environment.

- Excellent people skills with a track record of building productive business relationships.

- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification or experience.

- Excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

- A positive, enthusiastic self-starter and caring personality is a must.
