PR and Communications Lead

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Dyson Court, Staffordshire Technology Park, Beaconside, Stafford, ST18 0LQ

Salary: £24,500 - £26,500 per annum

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

The Role

If this is you, then their PR and Communications Lead is the role for you. This exciting role provides a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic multi-tasker who thrives on providing excellent customer services, efficiency in all tasks and has strong time management skills.

Your work will lead their communications strategy, enhance their reputation and relevance across grassroots football and ensure that the Staffordshire Football brand is protected and fully utilised to help meet the needs of Staffordshire Football.

This challenging role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the function of grassroots football in Staffordshire and the core business of the Staffordshire FA. There are more people playing football in Staffordshire than ever before which means their support for volunteers, administrators, match officials and coaches is ever increasing. This vital role will ensure they maintain their focus, push them forward and make Staffordshire Football a focal point for the County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all PR and communication strategies to ensure maximum exposure for Staffordshire Football
  • Support the delivery of The Staffordshire FA Business Strategy and FA National Grassroots Strategy
  • Implement and evolve all of the Staffordshire FA marketing and communications functions, ensuring modern, effective procedures are in place.
  • To enhance the image profile and reputation of the Staffordshire FA
  • To contribute to the effective implementation of the FA 's Safeguarding Operating Standard for County FAs
  • To support the adoption of FA technology systems across grassroots football
  • To comply with FA rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidance that are in a place from time to time
  • Implement a strong, relevant and robust Communications Strategy to meet out business objectives and Staffordshire football’s needs.
  • Maintain control over the brand. Ensure the brand is modern and relevant and visual imagery is consistent across all media.
  • Provide ongoing communications support to dedicated FA campaigns
  • Co-ordinate the publication of communication material including weekly, monthly and annual publications.
  • Listen to and consult with under 18s on their experience of grassroots football as part of the youth engagement strategy
  • Utilise the feedback from the under 18s and adults at risk to enhance the experience and fun and safety of grassroot football
  • Undertake relevant market research to identify progress and highlight areas for priority action

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of adobe creative cloud software or similar
  • Graphic design, videography and editing knowledge experience.
  • Ability to work strategically with partner organisations across different sectors to plan and deliver football programmes.
  • Project Management skills and experience to plan, set achieve objectives to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Practical experience of marketing via all digital and traditional channels
  • Event organisation and management experience
  • Podcasting
  • Knowledge and understanding of the FA’s national game strategy and how the county FA business plans support its delivery
