Your new role
As a PR Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting several client accounts across different sectors and industries
  • Helping with the planning and delivery of client campaigns and programmes and attending client meetings
  • Working with an account management team to create and implement effective PR strategies and activities
  • Coordinating and managing PR photography and media events
  • Planning and attending various events, such as press conferences and product launches
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, journalists and media outlets
  • Monitoring and scanning media sources, including online, print, broadcast, social media and blogs, for opportunities and insights for clients and competitors
  • Analysing and evaluating media coverage and preparing client reports and feedback
  • Researching, writing and distributing creative and engaging press releases to relevant media
  • Identifying and capitalising on media and influencer opportunities
  • Creating regular client status reports and updates
  • Working collaboratively in a team environment and supporting colleagues at all levels
  • Being proactive, flexible and adaptable to changing situations and challenges
  • Supporting the development of new business proposals and presentations
  • Being committed to confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
  • Performing any other duties as may be required by the senior management

What you'll need to succeed

  • A third level qualification, desirable if in CAM, PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline
  • One year's experience in a similar role within a Communications or PR Agency or in-house (desirable)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good presentation skills
  • IT literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs
  • The ability to think strategically and good analytical skills (desirable)
  • Ability to build strong rapport / relationships internally and externally
  • Confidence
  • Initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work on more than one project at a time
  • Flexible approach to work, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure
  • Hold a current & valid full UK driving licence with full access to a vehicle
