My client is a highly regarded and long standing Manchester based PR agency who are looking for an PR Account Executive - Senior Account Executive to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-growing agency for a candidate who has Public Relations running through their blood.

The right candidate is a mature, self-motivated individual, who will relish being at the heart of each client account. Candidates must have PR agency experience, proven media relation skills, social media expertise, copy/content writing skills and be great at liaising with clients. The right candidate will not only be given the opportunity to fast track their career but will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth.

You will be working on a mix of consumer and B2B accounts within real estate, place making, destination, hospitality, professional services, financial and property.

The PR Account Executive - Senior Account Executive is a crucial member of the team working across a broad portfolio of clients. They have great media contacts, good copywriting skills and digital experience across social media platforms - as well as a real willingness to take ownership of projects within a supportive team environment. They must be highly organised as day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining media contacts, writing and placing articles within the media, contributing to social media, planning and researching to generate new ideas and preparing status reports to enable the team to provide effective feedback to clients.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media, via telephone and email
  • Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media
  • Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients and coverage
  • Working as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement the PR activity
  • Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings
  • Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
  • Promoting news stories and features to the media
  • Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage
  • Event management, including press conferences and promotional events
  • Attending and promoting client events to the media
  • Undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients;
  • Helping in managing the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation
  • Fully participate in brainstorms and create workable programmes for new business and existing clients
  • Keep track of impending deadlines and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
