Power BI Developer

3 month initial contract

£491 per day, inside IR35

Hybrid - 2 days per week in Reading

Our client seeking an individual with advanced technical skills in MS Power BI to spearhead the creation of comprehensive reporting dashboards, providing near real-time insights into portfolio performance, financial health, risk management, resource utilization, timeline tracking, benefits realization, and delivery quality. The ideal candidate will leverage tools to integrate data from multiple sources, with a primary focus on Azure DevOps, ensuring the dashboards meet the informational needs of both our team and internal stakeholders.

The successful applicant will ideally (but not essential) have experience of having delivered similar dashboards in a PMO/portfolio team in an agile delivery environment.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Utilise technical skills in MS Power BI and MS Office including Excel, SharePoint and Power Automate
  • Shape and craft reporting dashboards for near real-time insights
  • Build dashboards using Power BI, gathering data from a variety of data sources including Azure DevOps
  • Design dashboards covering areas such as Portfolio Overview, Financial insights, Risk and Issue highlights, Resource Utilization monitoring, Timeline and Milestones tracking, Benefits Forecast and Realization measurement, and Quality and Delivery assessment
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs
  • Ensure the dashboards provide comprehensive, dynamic and actionable information
  • Leverage advanced technical skills to integrate and analyse data effectively
  • Work towards continuous improvement of reporting capabilities
