Positive Behaviour Mentor Required for School in Redhill

This school is set in a wonderful, picturesque location in Redhill. The school is an all through school for vulnerable who have Complex behavioural Needs. The school is looking for a behaviour mentor to be on hand and support pupils.

This is a pastoral based role, and requires someone who is intuitive and passionate about providing the children with the right support.

Your Role

  • Supporting a range of vulnerable children between the ages of 5 - 16 years
  • Be able to appropriately calm children down and deescalate
  • Be able to effectively behaviour manage
  • Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Be available - Full or Part time - 8.15am - 3.30pm

The ideal candidate

  • Outgoing and mentoring manner
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
  • You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.
  • Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
