Engage Education are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate behaviour mentor to work in partnership with Engage Education in Leeds. Your full-time, long-term role will involve working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Salary: £80-£90 per day

Your role:

As a behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting students who require assistance in managing their behaviours and emotions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing personalised behaviour intervention plans for students.
  • Providing one-on-one mentoring and coaching to students, helping them navigate social and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to create a cohesive support system for each student.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Organising and leading group workshops and activities aimed at promoting positive behaviours and interpersonal skills.
  • Contributing to the overall school culture by fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

What you need:

  • Proven experience working with students who have behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Empathetic and patient approach to working with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
