On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Portfolio Finance Officer (Cost Control Lead) based in Edinburgh (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office) for an initial contract length of 9 Months.

Job description - the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management and forecasting for significant engineering projects.
  • Utilize tools such as Oracle, Excel, and Portfolio Management Tool (Kiplot) to manage financial reporting within the portfolio.
  • Take responsibility for monitoring and controlling spend and budget.
  • Manage costs related to portfolio project management.
  • Handle third-party relationships and associated costs.
  • Act as a Cost Control Accountant and Senior Cost Control Lead.

Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in managing portfolio costs, working as Cost Control Lead/Accountant.
  • Extended experience with financial services.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of IT-specific financial processes.
  • Ability to separate and analyze financial data.
  • Comfortable handling large volumes of financial data.
