Our client is seeking a hands on Porter/ Caretaker to work on a residential block based in Slough, Berkshire. Day to day you will be in charge of the upkeep of the block, ensuring it is kept in great condition for residents, as well as providing general support on site. This role reports to a Property Manager.

Hours:

Contracted Working hours are 35 hours per week.

Usual working hours will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm with a 1-hour lunch break

Does not include Bank holidays.

Salary: Up to £25,000 pa

Daily Duties:

  • Litter picking of courtyard, car park, Foyer & bin stores.
  • Reporting any bulk waste - cross referencing with CCTV & door entry system to try and identify culprits.
  • Providing access & support to any contractors instructed by the managing agent.
  • Reporting any security issues
  • Reporting any maintenance issues
  • Reporting any breaches of estate regulations
  • Reporting any fire hazards
  • Reporting any animal fouling
  • Reporting any evidence of ASB
  • Full site walk through
  • Inspection of smoke panel & vents
  • Monthly fire safety function test
  • Moving around bins on site.
  • Lift inspection & checks (Weekly)
  • Light cleaning duties

Adhoc duties:

  • Programming pedestrian fobs to the flat
  • Support in leak investigations
  • Minor repairs
  • Disinfection/cleaning of bin stores
  • Cleaning of concierge office & welfare facilities
  • Manual override of gates

Annual leave allowance 23 days per annum
