Salary - £30,000 - £40,000(depending on experience)

SRG is working with a leading UK manufacturer of high quality polymer and products for use in the automotive and construction industries. Based in the north Newcastle area, they have recently started looking to expand their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous industrial or academic experience working hands on with polymer and composite products. You will join a growing team working on formulating, developing and testing new products for a wide range of industrial applications. Job applications from graduates are welcome and individuals with previous industry experience would be considered at the upper end of the salary scale.

Role Description

• Developing, formulating and implementing new materials for use in manufacturing
• Providing technical support for customers and liaising with suppliers
• Analysis of material properties with analytical chemistry techniques
• Tweaking polymer formulations and troubleshooting
• Adhering to safety standards and Working safely in a fast-paced lab environment
• Ensuring products comply with quality requirements

Requirements

• A chemistry, engineering or similar degree qualification with a polymer experience
• Experience formulating and developing industrial polymer products
• Experience testing raw materials are fit for purpose with physical testing and wet chemistry techniques
• Ability to travel or relocate to the North Newcastle area
• Full right to work in the UK
