We are currently recruiting for a Plumber within a leading Public Sector Organisation in Blackpool. This is a key role within the organisation and will be on an ongoing contract.

The post holder will be a member of the Maintenance Team responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs and statutory Planned Preventative Maintenance.

Duties will include:

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and general day-to-day work as required on receipt of electronic job tickets via the Maintenance Supervisor or their deputy
  • Complete PPMs and day-to-day tasks will include;

-          Draining, cleaning and Chlorination of DHW Calorifiers, recording of flow and return temperatures on DHW Calorifiers / Plate Heat Exchangers

-          Regular inspection and testing of drainage systems and Fire Hydrants

-          Inspection and repair of water tanks

-          Chlorination of water tanks and/or systems

-          Testing of hot and cold-water storage systems, hot water distribution systems, stored hot water sampling

  • Recording work details accurately on the electronic job tickets and daily time sheet on completion of the task and making any necessary decision to refer a fault to Senior Estates staff or contractor via their Supervisor.

Essential skills / qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a plumbing, mechanical engineering or building services related discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
  • DBS will need to be completed if successful
