Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced plumber to join our social housing maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various plumbing tasks and have experience working within the social housing sector. This is a multi-skilled role where you'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance checks and repairs in social housing properties.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
- Diagnosing plumbing issues and implementing solutions promptly.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and complies with relevant regulations.
- Liaising with tenants and colleagues to schedule work and provide excellent customer service.
- Responding to emergency call-outs as required.
- Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of work undertaken.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a plumber, preferably within social housing or a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and components.
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full driving license.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and DBS clearance.
