PLC SOFTWARE ENGINEER

PLC programming and modifying standard Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC control software for Automation, Packaging, Conveying and Robot Systems- then Commissioning on customer sites (85% are UK sites, then possibility of European sites travel).

30-40% of the PLC programming work can be done working at home. The other 50% of your time will be on sites in the UK, very occasionally Europe too when the European PLC Software Engineers need some help. Your site work will be PLC programming, upgrades, modifications to PLC control software- it's as easy to do this on the machine and on the customers' site.

Experience: Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley or Siemens S7 PLC programming, control software modifications TIA Portal, commissioning automated machinery, some HMI, network, profibus experience could be good, electrical troubleshooting and machinery experience. A mix of these.

Location:

Somewhere in the Midlands would be good to get access to the M5, M6, M1, M62 and to cut down the travel across the UK. Someone close to an Airport for those European trips when they start to happen.

Rewards:

The Basic salary of £47000 is added to by being paid "time and a half" overtime- and typically this adds another £15-£20K to the PLC Software Engineers here.
