We are currently seeking a skilled domestic plasterer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plastering duties within domestic properties owned or managed by the local authority. This role involves working independently or as part of a team to ensure the completion of plastering tasks to a high standard, contributing to the overall maintenance and improvement of our housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute plastering tasks efficiently and effectively in domestic properties.
  • Prepare surfaces for plastering, including patching, sanding, and priming.
  • Apply plaster coats using appropriate techniques to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Repair damaged or deteriorated plaster as necessary.
  • Work in accordance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a plasterer, with a strong understanding of domestic plastering techniques.
  • CSCS card.
  • Asbestos awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in plastering (desirable but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
