Position: Plant Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Monday – Friday

Interaction recruitment is looking for plant engineer to join the expanding service team to undertake activities including repair, service, maintenance, commissioning of new and used machines on customer premises or job site. This role is great for a skilled engineer looking to progress their career within a highly reputable company.

Commutable from Peterborough, Wisbech, Huntingdon, Spalding, Stamford and surrounding areas.

The Role:

  • Carry out field service jobs including the repair, service and commissioning of heavy plant machinery.
  • Fault finding on electrical and hydraulics
  • Completing relevant paperwork related to the job
  • Overhaul of used machines and preparation for sale of new and used machines to
  • approved specification
  • Ensuring company van, tools and workstation are kept clean and tidy to ensure company image is to be presented including the wearing of company uniform and PPE.
  • Make sure work is completed to the company’s high standards

The Candidate:

  • Must have a good understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and electrical faults
  • Previous experience working with heavy plant equipment
  • The ability to work using own initiative
  • Must hold Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ, HND Minimum)
  • Excellent customer service as you will be speaking with customers
