Production & Planning Co-ordinator

Location: Edenbridge
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, 5pm finish on Fridays!

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organised Planning Co-ordinator to join a thriving company in Edenbridge, you will be responsible for overseeing the Print & Finishing programme and team, developing production schedules, estimating material and labour requirements, resolving production issues, compiling reports, and assisting with general account management and customer enquiries.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing the Print programme and team (3)
  • Developing production schedules to meet deadlines
  • Estimating material, equipment, and labour requirements
  • Resolving production issues to minimise delays
  • Compiling status and performance reports for management
  • Estimating potential work
  • Ordering consumables and controlling board stock
  • Assisting the production team as needed
  • Quality checking products and passing jobs
  • Assessing material size
  • Organising delivery of goods and raising delivery notes with the warehouse
  • Data entry into production software and reconciliation
  • Booking in production jobs
  • Requesting quotations, processing outwork schedules, and raising purchase orders
  • Handling customer NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), investigation, and resolution
  • Dealing with machine manufacturers and suppliers

Skills Required:

  • Relevant and proven experience in Production Planning / Scheduling / Manufacturing / FMCG / Commercial background due to the level of responsibility required
  • Ability to liaise with clients and manage relationships with key clients
  • Supervisory skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in data entry and production software
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
