Planned Works Manager - Damp, Mould, Disrepair and Voids

  • Pay Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella
  • Job Type: Temporary, full-time
  • Contract: Initial 6 months

Kirklees Council are seeking a Planned Works Manager to support the strategic, operational, and financial management of aspects of their business, ensuring the delivery of the organisation’s objectives. This role requires developing a high-performance culture and continuous improvement in line with their Service Plans and objectives, focusing on delivering a customer-focused service.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Manage a technical function within Homes & Neighbourhoods, ensuring value for money and compliance with legislative and contractual obligations.
  • Provide specialist and technical advice to deliver effective business solutions.
  • Direct all operational aspects of the relevant business/service area.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deploy resources and workload to meet service and business demands.
  • Collaborate with Service Managers and other General Managers to monitor and improve performance indicators, increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on key issues to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board.
  • Lead service reviews and planning, ensuring recommendations are implemented appropriately.
  • Manage team performance, development, health, and wellbeing in line with policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to policy and process development across the organisation to ensure high-quality services.
  • Act as an ambassador and positive role model, promoting the organisation’s purpose, vision, and successes.
