Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager for a major Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

The candidate must have a good track record of developing new business with a good network of contacts at decision maker level within the Pharma/Medical Devices Vertical sector.

The Aim:-


1. Increase business from vertical markets, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical Devices

2. Improve awareness of Brand within UK.

3. Support UK Country Sales Manager (CSM) to reach Company Budget.

The role will include:-

1. To build relationships with prospective & your existing customers

2. Hunter Sales activity covering UK (Working to set KPI’s whereby arranging visits & cold calls)

3. Develop new Air and Ocean Export, Logistics opportunities

4. Analysis of Customer activity and business trends

5. Provide analysis of won, lost quotes and work with CSM to increase wins

6. Measure our success through retention development and growth

7. Preparing weekly report to Senior Management of activity, pipeline, quotes, wins/loss, customer feedback.

8. Working in line with your agreed sales targets ( reviewed monthly / quarterly)

Monitoring Tools:-

1. Salesforce

2. Pipeline Reports

3. Business Plan 1st Half/2nd Half

  • New business report ( new customer)
