Personal Tax Senior Accountant Job Vacancy

We're excited to be working with a well-established and growing firm of accountants in Slough tasked with finding a talented all-rounder accountant who will join their close-knit team and become a respected and valued Personal Tax Senior.

The job description includes contributing towards the firms tax services, 90% personal clients (HNWIs, landlords, Directors, Partners, non residents etc.) and offering an enhanced level of client relationships as well as leading a talented and happy team.

You'll have experience in all areas of the role and be excited to make a big difference to this portfolio of mostly personal tax clients.

Job Purpose

  • Provision of personal tax services.
  • Review and preparation of tax computations.
  • A range of ad hoc assignments.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Trouble shooting and solving complex queries.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Supervise junior team members offering coaching and mentoring.
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
  • Liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
  • Work closely with senior team members.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • AAT/ACCA/ACA, ATT or CTA qualified.
  • Experience of tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Significant personal tax experience.
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services and some experience of working in UK practice.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Personable and friendly.
